The first stretch passes the stately architecture of the Amstel embankment and the Magere Brug. Then the river widens and the skyline falls away, that is where the cruise stops being city sightseeing and becomes a genuine countryside escape.
From there the Amstel runs between open fields, pasture and quiet side channels. Houseboats and villas appear one at a time along the bank, spaced well apart, each framed by its own garden or reed beds rather than packed side by side.

Yes. One non-alcoholic welcome drink per guest is included, and every boat has a minibar with wine, beer, soft drinks and Champagne. As this is a half-day trip, breakfast, lunch or dinner from selected restaurants can also be added for a separate charge.
